Special All Saints Service: Sunday October 31 10am
All Saints Day is November 1 and this Sunday, October 31 we are going to observe “All Saints” during worship. We will have a time to light a candle in memory of a loved one who has died (either this past year or earlier). Covid 19 has disrupted our grieving process, and we want to emphasize that death does not have the final word. The lighting of candles as prayers is an ancient tradition full of strong symbolism. The candle represents the light of Christ and a prayer that is sent continually as long as the candle burns. Worshippers will be invited to light a candle and offer a silent prayer of gratitude.
Everyone is invited to contact Rev. Tex Culton with the names of anyone you want remembered during our worship this Sunday, and we will light a candle for them.
You do not have to be a member of Alpha Presbyterian. Our comfort as Christians is our belief in the resurrection to eternal life, that our prayers are heard by God and answered by the Holy Spirit giving us comfort, inspiration and encouragement to continue on the path that is God’s plan for our lives.
